Welcome to the Career Closet, a resource for students requiring professional attire for career fairs, interviews, presentations, internships, and the workplace. The Career Closet offers a variety of business casual and professional clothing at no cost to current Carson-Newman students. “Shoppers” keep all clothing to continue building their professional wardrobe. All clothing is generously donated by the C-N faculty and staff, alumni, churches, and the business community.
The Career Closet is a resource of the C-N Career Development Center. In addition to clothing, students are encouraged to utilize the services provided as they transition from the academic to professional arena. These include resumes, interview skills, post-undergraduate preparation, and more.
Welcome to the Food Pantry, a resource providing non-perishable food items and personal hygiene products for all current C-N students. This resource is a free service and is available to both on-campus and commuter students. Food and personal products are generously donated by C-N faculty and staff, alumni, churches, and the business community.
Food insecurities have become an issue on university campuses and have a direct impact on a student’s success. Over 48% of students currently face food insecurities, and 81% admit to this problem harming their academic performance.* Hunger can impact sleep, studying, and social engagement. The Student Success Center hopes to fill the gap and support our C-N students to ensure academic success.
